SPEND RESOURCES ON GOOD GEAR. It might be tempting to save up those Diamonds you took so long to find and mine, but trust us: it’s worth spending on good armor, weapons, and tools. The better your gear, the longer you’ll stay alive and the faster you’ll get more resources to get even more good gear.

PRACTICE WITH THE BOW AND THE SWORD. Weapons in Minecraft seem simple, but getting good at them really does take practice! When you know you’re safe (such as when you don’t have many items on you and only see one hostile mob), try a bit of combat when you can to learn how to use both weapons. The Bow especially can be useful.
